Ori Aviram

Visual Artist

Born in 1965 in Jerusalem, Ori Aviram began his professional journey as a producer and editor in the fields of television and advertising. After a brief but fruitful period in media, he made a decisive turn toward his true passion—art.

Over the years, Aviram has worked across diverse artistic media, including sculpture, assemblage, collage, drawing, and painting. Today, his practice centers on large-scale oil paintings that shift fluidly between figurative expression and abstract exploration. In addition to canvas works, he creates distinctive series on unconventional surfaces such as book pages, scriptures, and old documents, transforming their past into a living part of the artwork.

Cultural and historical references, ranging from Biblical narratives to both local and Western art traditions, frequently appear in his work, reflecting a rich inner world and emotional depth.

Ori Aviram has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in museums, galleries, and alternative art spaces. His artworks and interviews have been featured in various international art magazines, and his works are part of public and private collections in Israel and abroad.
