This is an artwork with mixed materials crafted on recycled brown carton paper.
I was inspired by the numerous challenges, trials, and obstacles that professionals and the
creatives often face, before, during, and even after the creation process. It depicts a young
Black aspiring professional engineer working to fix a toy caterpillar. Surrounding him are vibrant
splashes of color, symbolizing the struggles and hurdles encountered along the way. Beside
him, a small dog sits faithfully, representing companionship, comfort, and the truth that there is
always a genuine friendship to stand by us through these challenges.
